Mülheim
A right-bank district with an industrial past, Wiener Platz as its centre and the old Mülheim harbour turned creative quarter.
Mülheim was a town in its own right until Cologne absorbed it in 1914, and it still behaves like one. The district runs from the riverbank at the yellow Mülheim suspension bridge past the market square on Wiener Platz out to Buchforst and Höhenhaus, with former factory sites along the Rhine now housing television studios and event spaces.
